MOOD Angel is believed to be the first UK distributor-developed AI colour assistant dedicated exclusively to a single professional colour brand, with MOOD specific consultation, technical guidance and aftercare recommendations. Designed specifically for salons and stylists, the portal allows users to type in a question and receive real-time MOOD specific recommendations, technical guidance and product solutions – all at the fingertips of its users, instantly.
The software is exclusively available to qualified salon professionals using MOOD products. MOOD Angel provides technical guidance based on official MOOD Hair Colour documentation, with all advice relating to professional salon products containing hydrogen peroxide and other chemical agents.
The Virtual Technician can answer simple questions such as, "When do I need to patch test?" as well as more advanced technical queries, including formulas for bleach, permanent and demi-permanent colour services, alongside developer and activator guidance. When a formula is required, the virtual technician asks the stylist a series of quick questions about the client's hair before generating a tailored MOOD formula, complete with mixing ratios, processing time and the appropriate developer strength.
The system can also be used to explore the MOOD shade range and colour charts, while supporting the consultation process by creating a personalised MOOD prescription to share with clients. This feature is not limited to colour services; it can also be used for non-colour appointments, including cuts, blow-dries and treatments, helping stylists recommend the most suitable MOOD haircare products for every client.
In addition, MOOD Angel provides valuable educational support, offering guidance on colour techniques, toning, grey coverage, cutting foundations and the professional use of the wider MOOD product range.
