Miamo launches Tri-Retinoid Surge Resurfacing Serum, a multi-corrective night treatment for advanced skin renewal.
Italian clinical skincare brand, Miamo expands its treatment-led portfolio with Tri-Retinoid Surge Resurfacing Serum, a multi-corrective night serum developed to target deep wrinkles, discolouration, skin imperfections, and loss of firmness through an advanced approach to skin renewal.
The launch builds on Miamo’s science-led focus on skin longevity, combining three complementary forms of vitamin A in a single formula designed to work across different levels of the epidermis. The result is a high-performance resurfacing treatment that balances visible renewal with skin tolerability, including for sensitive skin.
Skin resurfacing is the skin’s natural biological renewal process, through which damaged or ageing cells are replaced by healthy, functional new ones. Over time, intrinsic ageing, oxidative stress, photoexposure, dehydration and hormonal fluctuations can slow cellular turnover, contributing to wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, enlarged pores, blemishes and a loss of firmness.
To support this process, Miamo has developed the Tri-Retinoid Multi-Level System, an advanced complex that brings together liposomal retinol, retinal encapsulated in vegan nanovesicles and Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate.
The Tri-Retinoid Multi-Level System
- Liposomal retinol with controlled-release technology is engineered to improve stability and provide progressive skin penetration. Retinol undergoes a two-step conversion within the skin before becoming biologically active, allowing retinoid activity to be released gradually. It supports epidermal turnover and collagen and elastin synthesis, helping to improve the appearance of wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven tone and blemishes.
- Retinal encapsulated in vegan nanovesicles is designed for targeted delivery into the epidermal layers. Requiring a single metabolic conversion to retinoic acid, it supports cellular renewal and epidermal regeneration while helping to improve skin texture, elasticity and firmness. Its advanced delivery system is designed to combine high efficacy with improved tolerability.
- Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR) is a next-generation retinoid that binds directly to retinoic acid receptors without requiring metabolic conversion. It acts on the visible effects of photoageing, helping to improve wrinkles, tone and texture while reducing the appearance of post-acne marks.
The formula is supported by ectoin, recognised for its repairing and cytoprotective properties; bisabolol and ginger extract, selected for their soothing benefits; and tocopherol, or Vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect against oxidative stress. Lightweight and fast-absorbing with a silky after-feel, the fragrance-free serum has been dermatologically tested and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Dr Camilla D’Antonio, co-founder and Scientific Director of Miamo, comments: “With the new Tri-Retinoid Surge Resurfacing Serum, our goal was to overcome the traditional trade-off between efficacy and tolerability that has long characterised retinoid-based treatments. Our research focused on developing a multi-level delivery system that harnesses the unique potential of different forms of vitamin A, combined with advanced delivery technologies, to deliver visible skin-renewal benefits while preserving the skin’s natural balance.”
Instrumental clinical testing confirms the serum’s skin-renewing performance. After 56 days of use, skin elasticity improved by up to 11.48%, the measured plumping effect increased by 10.17% and wrinkle depth was reduced by 8.77%. In self-assessment testing, 90% of participants said skin appeared more even and smoother, 86% reported skin appeared more elastic and firm, 85% said skin appeared smoother and toned, and 80% reported fine lines appeared less visible.
Tri-Retinoid Surge Resurfacing Serum is designed for evening use as part of a targeted skincare protocol. The 30ml serum (RRP £63) is available via miamo.com.
