Alice Kennedy marks one year at her stunning new Ballymena salon with a fresh focus on treatments, classes and a great new rebrand!
There was cause for celebration in Ballymena at the end of September as Alice K Beauty marked the first anniversary of its move to a beautiful new salon on Church Street. The milestone comes just a year after Alice and her experienced team of therapists relocated from their long-standing premises on Broughshane Street, where they had proudly served the local community for 26 years. The move marked a new era for the business, with the rebrand to Alice K Beauty reflecting a fresh chapter of growth, innovation and wellbeing.
The new salon at 4–6 Church Street has already made a big impression. With muted tones, pastel shades and carefully designed interiors, the space offers clients an immediate sense of calm and relaxation as soon as they step through the doors. Alice Kennedy says the move has opened up exciting new opportunities for both the business and its clients, “It really has been such a busy and fantastic year. All our lovely valued clients have moved with us, and we’ve had many more new clients joining us on this exciting new chapter. This diversification has been particularly popular with clients, who have welcomed the mix of beauty and wellbeing opportunities under one roof.”
With the rebrand from Alice’s Beauty Clinic to Alice K Beauty, Alice introduced a new company motto: “Beauty begins the moment YOU decide to be yourself.” This philosophy reflects the salon’s focus on helping clients feel confident and comfortable in their own skin, no matter their age. The emphasis is not just on external beauty, but on overall wellbeing – and creating a true “happy place” for every visitor.
To mark the first birthday at its new home, Alice K Beauty held a week of celebrations, complete with competitions, giveaways and, of course, a celebration cake presented by Frank and Georgina Warwick of Dougie’s Goodies to Steve and Alice. Alice said the celebrations were about thanking those who have supported the business through its transition, “Our clients have always been at the heart of everything we do, and we wanted them to feel part of this special milestone. This first year has been incredible, and it’s only possible because of the loyalty and encouragement of our community.”
As Alice K Beauty enters its second year on Church Street, Alice says the focus remains on growing the business while staying true to the values that have earned the salon its loyal following for almost three decades, “If you haven’t yet experienced our new and relaxing atmosphere at 4–6 Church Street, and the many bespoke treatments we have to offer, get booked in.”
From advanced skincare to Pilates, and from relaxation evenings to one-to-one tutorials, Alice K Beauty continues to evolve – but always with clients at the heart of its success.
“We just wanted to make the ladies of Ballymena feel that extra bit special when coming in for their treatments and also offer a number of wellbeing classes – our new space helps us do that. We really have so many lovely clients of all ages and it’s so refreshing to see them enjoying our new Happy Place. Everyone coming through the doors just loves the new space and the relaxing environment we offer.”
The larger salon has allowed Alice K Beauty to expand beyond traditional treatments. Today, the business offers bespoke advanced skincare and facials tailored to individual needs, alongside a range of new classes and events that blend beauty and wellness.
These include:
- Skincare masterclasses for clients eager to understand how best to care for their skin at home.
- Make-up tutorials offering practical techniques for all ages.
- Relaxation evenings designed to encourage self-care and wellbeing.
- Pilates sessions that complement the salon’s holistic approach to health and beauty.
