Hair and Beauty Industry Tee Up for Charity

Hair and beauty professionals swapped scissors for clubs to raise much-needed funds for the Hair & Beauty Charity.

The hair and beauty industry’s eagerly anticipated HBSA/Hair & Beauty Charity Golf Day returned to the Carden Park Championship Resort on Tuesday 2 June 2026, as more than 50 players swapped scissors for clubs to raise much-needed funds for hairdressers and beauty professionals facing hardship.

Set against sweeping views of the Welsh hills dodging rain and hail, the HBSA/Hair & Beauty Charity Golf Day brought together industry professionals for a competitive 18-hole round at one of the UK’s most prestigious golf venues. The annual event raises essential funds for the Hair & Beauty Charity which supports hairdressers, barbers and beauty therapists who have fallen on hard times.

From birdies to bogeys, the atmosphere was electric as competitors vied for prizes across the course, with hole sponsorship opportunities helping to boost the day’s fundraising total. The competition was followed by a three-course dinner and awards ceremony in the Clubhouse, where players were joined by distributors and industry supporters celebrating a fun and competitive day.

Jayne Lewis-Orr, President of the Hair & Beauty Charity, said: “Days like this are about so much more than a great round of golf. Today has been a reminder of what this industry does best; show up and support one another and that is what the Charity is all about. There are so many hairdressers and beauty professionals who are quietly struggling, whether they’ve been struck by illness, injury, or financial hardship, knowing that the industry supports them when they need it most can make a huge difference. The messages we receive from beneficiaries are humbling and prove that even the smallest donation can make the biggest difference to someone struggling.”

And the winners are…

  • Best individual: Tim Pring (who played for Procare)
  • Best Team: Schwarzkopf Professional
  • Longest Drive: Ed Connick (ghd)
  • Nearest-the-Pin: Tom Hancock (playing with the Salon Distribution Concepts team)
