The Sassoon Future Creatives Team proved that the next generation of hairdressing talent is in safe hands.
At a special evening showcasing the brand's latest collection, the team not only inspired a room full of industry professionals but also raised money and awareness for the Hair & Beauty Charity. Proceeds from the evening went directly to the Charity, supporting beneficiaries facing illness, domestic violence, family tragedy and those unable to work.
Senior International Creative Director Mark Hayes welcomed more than 80 hairdressers to the House of Sassoon in London's Soho, where the next wave of creative talent presented their techniques, philosophies and contemporary take on the Spring/Summer INTERFERENCE collection.
Across the evening, more than 12 models took to the floor, showcasing the cutting edge of colour, cut and styling with techniques and styling hacks the audience could take straight back to their salon chair. The team shared their passion, imagination and technical knowledge, working with sharp lines, colour married to shape, and natural texture brought vividly to life.
The looks spanned from the bold to the wearable ranging from animalistic colour panelling, eye-catching copper tones that drew the eye to movement through the crown, nods to past album covers, and 1920s-inspired fringes.
Hosts Danielle Harvey and Lee Nunn guided the audience through how each look could be translated for everyday clients. As Sam Holder explained: "When working with colour we want to keep it salon friendly - stay creative without it being too dramatic for clients who are looking to have something a little bit different."
The Future Creatives programme gives emerging talent within the Sassoon family the toolkit to build lasting careers, with a focus on development and creative growth.
Danielle added: "Everyone is good at something, and we want to bring the best out of the individual and utilise their strengths. We want everyone to be really good all-rounders in all hair lengths and hair types.
“Special thanks to Wella for their continued partnership and ongoing support. Collaborations such as these help us create opportunities that inspire, educate and elevate our industry.”
