As seen on the Victoria Beckham catwalk, the natural look is here to stay. Think sleek bobs, framed faces, and lived-in texture, but with the healthy shine that you expect from the Victoria Beckham Girl. It’s ‘true authentic’ hair with a conscious polished finish.
British professional hairstyling tool brand, ghd has once again partnered with iconic British fashion designer Victoria Beckham to create Enhanced Texture, the hair trend for the Victoria Beckham AW22 London Fashion Week presentation.
In partnership with ghd, session stylist Cyndia Harvey and her team worked to create an enhanced hair look, inspired by individuality, and capturing the natural movement and texture of the models’ hair.
ghd’s tools are just made for being backstage, they have everything you need to create any hair look and are truly the most hardworking tools out there. - Cyndia Harvey
The trend features an array of different styles and structures all with effortless shaping; think hair that looks like it has been slept in, but with an effortless cool girl edge.
The looks were achieved using the ghd Helios hairdryer, ghd Platinum+ styler, and ghd’s new Thin Wand to add definition to natural curls. The ghd Unplugged styler was then used for on-set touch-ups, solidifying its position as the fashion week backstage essential.
The collection has some amazing silhouettes this season, they’re strong and structured. We wanted the hair to complement them and offer something a little softer, working with the pieces and not distracting from them. For example, we tucked hair into the oversized collars on the jackets, which gave that modern and typical VB feel. - Cyndia Harvey
ghd really are the best! I use them both personally and professionally. They’re the perfect partner for fashion week in particular, tools like the Unplugged have changed the way the teams are able to work backstage.” - Victoria Beckham

The look for Victoria Beckham AW22 collection was natural, effortless hair. Victoria wanted the girl’s natural beauty and confidence to shine through. We did a centre parting on most of the girls, ensuring that it didn’t feel too perfect or forced, added some water and a little product such as ghd Pick Me Up Root Lift Spray (RRP £18.95), or ghd Dramatic Ending Serum (RRP £18.95) where needed. - Cyndia Harvey
STYLE
To really capture the natural look, we let the hair air dry then finished with the ghd Helios hairdryer (RRP £179). We styled the sections with the ghd Thin Wand (RRP £139) to add some definition to any natural curls or waves.
PREP
To achieve the look today we started out prepping the hair with ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray (RRP £18) to create the perfect protection to ensure the hair doesn’t get damaged.
FINISH
We used the ghd Unplugged styler (RRP £299), which is such a versatile tool and great for touch ups, to add any final extra waved motion in the hair and give it a little bit more texture to promote natural movement.
To finish we added the ghd Perfect Ending Final Fix Hairspray (RRP £14.95) and ghd Curly Ever After (RRP £18.95) whilst teasing the hair to keep the texture locked in place.
