Backstage at London Fashion Week with TONI&GUY International Artistic Director, Efi Davies as she creates the Spring/Summer 25 look for Tolu Coker using LABEL.M Personalised Haircare.
The Collection
Offering stories on the unsung British-Nigerian matriarchs, this body of work aims to reestablish intergenerational dialogue through exploring personal stories of migration. Providing viewers with an intimate insight into the designer’s multidisciplinary practice and processes of creation, ‘Olepaju’ revists through the lense of Tolu’s mother, the revolutionary soul of British Nigerians, whose experiences and fusion of cultures shaped their communities in the late 60s and 70s.
The Hair
International Artistic Director Efi Davies and the TONI&GUY Session Team were tasked to create 30 bespoke wigs for the models that walked and danced the runway. The inspiration looked to how the designer’s mother would dress her own hair during the 60s, in a modern, fresh and fun way.
