Schwarzkopf partners with hair lead, Ramona Eschbach for Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood AW26 in Paris – creating 60’s volume and softly undone texture.

For the Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood AW26 show in Paris, session stylist Ramona Eschbach brought the designer’s vision to life through the hair in partnership with globally renowned colour, care and styling brand Schwarzkopf.

This season’s hair was inspired by iconic screen actress Romy Schneider and the many hairstyles she wore throughout her career, serving as the muse for the collection. Referencing the glamour of the 1960s, the look featured strong dry texture, volume at the roots and softly structured shapes. A very low side parting was introduced across many of the models, paired with backcombed roots and brushed-out curls to create movement and lift while maintaining a sense of effortlessness.

The result was a look that felt both nostalgic and modern - combining the attitude and drama associated with Vivienne Westwood with soft, feminine texture and a slightly undone finish.

Ramona Eschbach said: “Romy Schneider was the muse for the season, so we looked at different hairstyles she wore throughout her career, particularly from the 1960s. There’s a lot of backcombing and dry texture in the hair, with very low side partings on many of the models. We wanted to create volume and movement while keeping the hairline soft so the look still feels natural and effortless.”

Ramona Eschbach added: “The hero product backstage was Schwarzkopf Session Label The Powder. It gave the roots the perfect grip and texture to build volume and hold the structure of the style, which meant we could create the low French twist without it slipping, while still keeping the hair feeling light and full of movement.”

  • Prep: Prep the hair with Schwarzkopf Miracle Cream, a lightweight leave-in conditioner that moisturises and smooths the hair. Apply Schwarzkopf The Thickener section by section and blow-dry the hair to build body and structure.
  • Style: Once dry, set the hair with a curling iron before brushing through to soften the shape and create natural movement. Backcomb the roots using Schwarzkopf Session Label The Powder to build volume and texture, keeping the roots slightly tacky to hold the style in place. Spray Schwarzkopf Session Label The Flexible Hairspray through the ends to maintain movement while supporting the shape. Create a very low French twist, using the grip from the powder and prep to keep the structure secure while maintaining a soft hairline and natural movement.
  • Finish: Refine the look by maintaining softness around the hairline and allowing the texture and volume through the lengths to remain visible, creating a glamorous yet slightly undone finish.
