Rixo X ghd at London Fashion Week

Share

British professional hairstyling tool brand, ghd has partnered with premium ‘vintage-inspired’ fashion brand, RIXO, to debut its AW22 September Collection: ‘The Golden Age’ at London Fashion Week on Friday 18th February.

Inspired by the 1930s, the collection embodies ‘The Golden Age of Glamour for women’s fashion’, and celebrates the opulence and splendour depicted on the Hollywood movie screens at the time.

In partnership with ghd, UK Trade Ambassador, James Earnshaw and his team brought the traditional Hollywood glamour to life through a 1930’s inspired defined wave using the new ghd curve thin wand (£139).

I absolutely love the new ghd curve thin wand because it can be used on so many hair types to create so many different styles. For those with naturally textured hair, the wand can be used to contour or define curls, or for the Rixo AW22 hair look, it has been used to create detailed glossy waves. The best part – it’s so quick and easy to use as the long barrel creates a curl in just 3 seconds! It’s my backstage secret weapon. - ghd UK Trade Ambassador, James Earnshaw

Geometric patterns, sequins and velvets adorn the RIXO signature hand-painted prints, as well as vintage 1930’s screen prints, sourced and reworked on new shapes and silhouettes. This season sees the brand having developed its own silk and metallic jacquard fabrics with key party pieces featuring sustainably sourced feathers, glitters, and sequins.

Showcased in Goldsmith’s Hall, St. Pauls, the presentation transported guests back to the glittering and glamorous era, with soaring champagne towers and sparkling chandeliers, guests sipped Campari cocktails and Lallier champagne whilst viewing the brands latest collection.

This collection is our first extended sizing range from size 6-24, after years of perfecting the fit, it’s such a proud moment for us to be able to offer this. The collection celebrates glamour and party and we’re so excited to be showing at another London Fashion Week. - RIXO Co-Founder, Henrietta Rix
