For Autumn/Winter 22, Mark Fast targets the energetic souls that find their spirits aflame through the experimental nightlife lights.

Starting from neutral tones that are subsequently spun around the wheel of colour, Fast’s latest rendition of his signature street style is a tribute to the subgroups of culture that reclaim the night from stifling forces.

This season embodies striking colours and shapes that are illuminated through couture dresses, large puffers, and a mélange of experimental textures. The latest collection is the epitome of a coveted, secret, and underground party.

For the hair, Maria Kovacs used mop haircare (modern original products for modern original people) to create a 90’s Cool Girl Twist that captured the relentless speed of the era’s pop culture - experimental, often unapologetic, vibrant, and bold silhouettes. The Rad Cool Boy look was natural yet playful with lots of lived-in texture.

Cool Girl Twist

1. Spray mop lemongrass lift onto dry hair from mid-lengths to ends. Then blow-dry the hair smooth, away from the face.
2. Brush the hair back into a ponytail just underneath the crown and fasten with a bungee elastic. For extra control, lightly spray the hair with mop c-system firm finish hairspray.
3. Split the ponytail into different sized sections, spray each section with mop c-system firm finish hairspray again. Twist each section of hair until you create a knot. Fasten with pins and leave the ends out.
4. Continue this technique alternating with random loops of hair.
5. To finish the ends left out, spray each section with mop c-system firm finish hairspray, then use your straightening iron to create a graphic finish.
6. Lock in shape with mop c-system firm finish hairspray.
7. For extra shine, add a few drops of mop pomegranate nourishing hair oil onto your hands and run them over your hair to remove any flyaways.

For the Cool girls with Curl

1. For high voltage curl, add a small amount of mop lemongrass volume whip, work through the hair and dry with diffuser delivering the curl with more energy and shine.
2. Add mop pomegranate nourishing oil into the remaining hair to create shine and definition.
3. Lock in shape with mop c-system finishing hairspray.

For the Rad Cool Boy

1. For the desired lived-in texture, warm up a small amount of mop orange peel molding cream in your hands and work through the hair in conflicting directions.
2. Add heavy shine by blasting the hair with your hairdryer on high heat.
3. For that effortless finish, use your hands to complete!
