INDOLA creates sleek, wrapped hair for Pauline Dujancourt SS26 at London Fashion Week.
At this seasons London Fashion Week, INDOLA partnered with designer Pauline Dujancourt as the official hair sponsor to create the hair look for her SS26 collection, led by acclaimed session stylist Johanna Cree Brown.
The SS26 collection was inspired by the character of Nina in The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, the clothing explored soft shapes and romantic volumes. To contrast this ethereal aesthetic, Johanna and the INDOLA team crafted sleek, wrapped hair designs that gave the Pauline Dujancourt woman a tougher, more sculptural edge while retaining intricate detailing.
The look was built on precision. Sections of hair were wrapped flat to the head, with zig-zag sections left out and folded in a crisscross pattern over the crown to finish. This striking juxtaposition balanced softness and strength, echoing the tension within the collection itself.
Johanna Cree Brown, Lead Hairstylist for INDOLA, commented, “We used the INDOLA Volume & Blow-Dry Spray to prep the hair and give it grip before blow-drying through. Then we applied INDOLA Thermal Protector when ironing the hair to get it really flat. The idea was a head wrap, so we worked the inside of the head very close and flat, using INDOLA Strong Lacquer section by section to nail it down. Strong Lacquer was our hero product – it secured the hair while adding the high-gloss finish we needed. The zig-zag sections around the hairline were left out and folded over in a crisscross pattern to complete the look.”
This collaboration between INDOLA and Pauline Dujancourt SS26 showcases the power of hair to transform a collection’s mood and silhouette – combining technical precision with creative storytelling on the runway.
