Effortless Party Hair Looks by MOOD Creative Director, Tracey Ann Smith…
Tousled Waves
For this look I first prepped the hair using MOOD Ultra Care Shampoo and MOOD Ultra Care Mask. These are specifically for bleached hair and have bond building properties and Avo complex to repair the hair and ensure it’s nourished.
Before blow-drying I applied MOOD Hairstyling Bodyguard Wonder Coat to give instant shine and make the hair humidity and rain-proof. I layered this with MOOD Hairstyling Bodyguard Volume Mousse to give the hair long-lasting volume, body and support before styling and hydration and shine.
I then created a bouncy blow-out using a round brush to lift the hair at the roots whilst blow-drying working in sections and rolling the hair all the way down the brush for ultimate volume.
I then went in with a tong to create more of an effortless wave and to add movement into the hair.
I finished with MOOD Hairstyling Bodyguard No Gas Fixing Spray to ensure the style was long lasting and a light mist of MOOD Shield & Shine Spray for added shine.
Textured Pammy Bun
For this look I started by softly tonging the hair to give it movement and then I sprayed through some MOOD Hairstyling Bodyguard Salt & Care Spray to give the waves a more ‘beachy effect’ with volume and texture.
I used my fingers to create more of a matt texture so that the hair was knotted gently and pinned in to create a textured bun at the low crown area.
I finished by spraying in some MOOD Texturising Spray Wax to give the hair added volume, body and shine and then MOOD Hairstyling Bodyguard No Gas Fixing Spray to ensure the style was long lasting.
