Aveda Guest Artist Jon Reyman of Spoke & Weal salons brought a touch of romance and whimsy to the hair look for LoveShackFancy’s Spring Summer 2024 presentation.
The essence of this soft, ethereal style revolved around middle parts, embracing natural hair, sporting low ponytails, and showcasing loose braids, perfectly mirroring the playful spirit of the brand itself.
Jon explained, “LoveShackFancy's look was a celebration of timeless beauty and romantic hair with a modern twist, emphasizing a healthy scalp and effortlessly chic styles. This hairstyle aims to transform everyday moments into dreamlike experiences, capturing the whimsical essence of the LoveShackFancy brand.”
To craft these enchanting looks, Jon started by misting the scalp with Aveda scalp solutions refreshing protective mist and gently massaging the product in to refresh the scalp and control oil build up.
Next the hair was prepped by adding a small amount of Aveda smooth infusion™ perfectly sleek™ to control frizz and add shine. This was followed by adding the Aveda volumizing tonic™ to provide grip and hold. Using a hairdryer to evenly distribute the prep products, this sets the foundation for the style. To create the soft waves, a one-inch curling iron was used to add a subtle bend to the hair strands keeping them loose for a natural feel.
The hair was then set with Aveda Control Force Firm Hold Hairspray to set the waves in place and ensure the style holds throughout the presentation. To finish the look, a small amount of Aveda botanical repair™ bond-building styling creme to give the hair a perfect polished touch adding shine and controlling any fly aways.
For individuals with naturally textured hair, a small amount of Aveda nutriplenish™ styling foam was evenly distributed to accentuate natural curls and coils. The hair was then diffused to preserve its natural texture and create a light, airy feel.
For the final look, some model’s hair was either gathered at the nape for a casual, chic ponytail or braided into a loose three stand braid for a romantic, bohemian vibe. Finally, some looks were topped off with ribbon and bow accessories adding to the romantic feel of the hair.
